So, for starters, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S is typically a crossbreed of the regular Redmi Note 11, and the Redmi Note 11 Pro.

It comes with the body, display, and battery of the Note 11, but with the cameras and processor of the Note 11 Pro.

So, this phone is typically targeted at people who are considering getting the Note 11 Pro, but maybe feel it’s too large or too expensive for them, so, with the 11S, you can get the performance and superb cameras of the Note 11 Pro in a smaller, and even cheaper package.

So, coming down to the spec sheet, the Note 11S is fitted with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, which is exactly the same panel used on the outgoing Redmi Note 10S from last year, but this time, it now takes after the Redmi Note 11 and kicks at a 90Hz screen refresh rate.

And coming down to looks, it looks exactly like the Redmi Note 11, same way the Note 10S looked exactly like the Redmi Note 10.

Is it advisable to upgrade to this phone if you already own phones like Redmi Note 10S or even the vanilla Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, all from last year?

I mean, these two are basically the same phones in and out. Except for the insignificantly new Helio G96 chipset, and the new 108MP main camera that was carried over from the Redmi Note 11 Pro, which at the same time, was carried over from the Redmi Note 10 Pro of 2022, there are absolutely no other differences between the Redmi Note 11S and 10S from 2021.

But if you’re coming from an older model Redmi Note phone, say something like the Redmi Note 9S, the Note 9 & 8, and anything below, then at a starting price of ₦125,500, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S is a very good and solid midrange phone, and absolutely among the best Xiaomi phones, you can buy in 2022.
