What is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S current price in Nigeria?
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S is the middle child among the company’s newly announced Redmi Note series for 2022, and the price starts at ₦125,500, and can go all the way up to ₦139,500, depending on the RAM and storage configuration that you choose to go for, and below is a table showing the current available Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S variants that you can get right now in Nigeria, along with their various prices, and places where you can buy them.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S | Price | Where To Buy |
---|---|---|
8GB RAM + 128GB | ₦142,990 | JUMIA |
So, seeing the price range of this phone, what makes it unique amongst other Redmi Note 11 models that were announced alongside it, and should you even be thinking of upgrading if you already have something like the Redmi Note 10S from last year?
Well, let’s find it.

Overview
So, for starters, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S is typically a crossbreed of the regular Redmi Note 11, and the Redmi Note 11 Pro.
It comes with the body, display, and battery of the Note 11, but with the cameras and processor of the Note 11 Pro.
So, this phone is typically targeted at people who are considering getting the Note 11 Pro, but maybe feel it’s too large or too expensive for them, so, with the 11S, you can get the performance and superb cameras of the Note 11 Pro in a smaller, and even cheaper package.
So, coming down to the spec sheet, the Note 11S is fitted with a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display, which is exactly the same panel used on the outgoing Redmi Note 10S from last year, but this time, it now takes after the Redmi Note 11 and kicks at a 90Hz screen refresh rate.

And coming down to looks, it looks exactly like the Redmi Note 11, same way the Note 10S looked exactly like the Redmi Note 10.
For the processor on it, and like I’ve said before, the Note 11S is fitted with the same MediaTek Helio G96 chipset running on the Redmi Note 11 Pro, which again, is a non-significant upgrade from the Helio G95 chipset used on the outgoing Redmi Note 10S.
Users who are coming from the Note 10S and wish to upgrade to this phone will most likely not notice any significant boost in overall speed and feel.

And coming down to the cameras, once again, this phone uses exactly the same rear and front-facing camera setup of the Redmi Note 11 Pro, which comprises a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and two separate 2MP sensors for macro and depth respectively on the back, while the front is fitted with a 16MP cam.
Moving further, the phone comes dragging a huge 5000 mAh capacity battery along with it, and a 33W fast charging system, which is exactly the same setup seen on the Redmi Note 10S, and also on the Redmi Note 11 this year.
Other features that we’ve come to expect from the Redmi Note 11S, which are also present on the other Note 11 models are things like the presence of a stereo speaker setup, and an IP53 rating for ingress protection against dust and splashes of water.
So, these are basically all the major specs you need to know about the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S, and that brings us back to our question;
Is it advisable to upgrade to this phone if you already own phones like Redmi Note 10S or even the vanilla Xiaomi Redmi Note 10, all from last year?
Well, to cut the long story short, the answer is a blunt “No“, especially if you’re coming from the Note 10S.
I mean, these two are basically the same phones in and out. Except for the insignificantly new Helio G96 chipset, and the new 108MP main camera that was carried over from the Redmi Note 11 Pro, which at the same time, was carried over from the Redmi Note 10 Pro of 2022, there are absolutely no other differences between the Redmi Note 11S and 10S from 2021.
But if you’re coming from an older model Redmi Note phone, say something like the Redmi Note 9S, the Note 9 & 8, and anything below, then at a starting price of ₦125,500, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S is a very good and solid midrange phone, and absolutely among the best Xiaomi phones, you can buy in 2022.
