First thing first, Xiaomi will be unveiling its next-rated Redmi Note 10 phones on the 4th of March, 2021. This information was revealed by the company itself, via its Redmi India official Twitter handle.
Now second of all and as expected from the Redmi Note phones, these phones are gonna be a major upgrade of the Redmi Note 9 series from last year, and Xiaomi has revealed that this upgrade will be significant in more ways than one on the Redmi Note 10 phones.
The phones are gonna be slimmer and lighter, we don’t really know how extreme that the company is willing to go with this, but just so you know, the Redmi Note 9 series from last year measured 8.9 and 8.8mm in thickness for the vanilla and Pro models respectively, and in terms of weight, they weighed some pants dropping 199 and 207g of weight respectively too.
The company also emphasized that the phones are gonna possess supreme quality design materials, while clearly stating a Gorilla glass protection on the front and an IP52 rating for protection against water and dust.
Now personally, we don’t know why the company specifically stated the Gorilla glass protection on the front because before now, the Xiaomi Redmi Note phones, especially the Pro models, have always come with Gorilla glass protection on both the fronts and backs, so we don’t know if this is a way of the company stylishly telling us that only the front of the phones will be made out of glass, while their backs will be made of plastic.
But in terms of the actual variant of the Gorilla glass itself, I’m betting on the Corning Gorilla glass 6 variant. I mean, it’s Xiaomi that we’re talking about here right?
Now moving on, Xiaomi didn’t specifically state what processor that these phones are gonna come with, but past rumors have always pointed to the Snapdragon 750G chipset, and same rumors also point to the use of a 108MP camera sensor on the phones too, preferably on the Pro model.
High-resolution audio is also on the list too, and it seems this is likely pointing to something like a stereo speaker setup, alongside better haptics, which means better vibration motors.
Xiaomi also emphasized faster charging and bigger batteries, but no actual numbers were given in this regards.
Now seeing all these special emphases that Xiaomi has been making so far about these phones, I’ll conclude by saying that this is brewing up to be flagship-grade mid-range price smartphones and one that is definitely gonna the favorites for most people, just like the Redmi Note 9 series did.
So keep your fingers crossed and make sure to give this article a thumbs up by sharing it if you found it helpful, and as always, I’ll see you all tomorrow, #Peace Out.
