▪ Tecno Camon 15 launched with 64MP Quad rear facing cameras, Mediatek Helio G90T SoC, 8GB of RAM & 128GB of storage, 90Hz refresh rate & 33W fast charging.
For some days now, Tecno has been spotted on a couple different occasions on social media, teasing its next set of smartphone launches, the Tecno Camon 16 lineups, and they just unveiled them yesterday.
Do note that these smartphones are coming just barely 10 months after the Camon 15 lineups from same Tecno were launched during the month of March this year, and even just a couple of weeks after Infinix unveiled its Zero 8 smartphone to the world.
And just so you know, the Tecno Camon 16 is nothing but a complete rip-off of the Zero 8 from Infinix. When i say a complete rip-off, i mean every single thing that you’re getting on the Zero 8, both in terms of spec and in design, is exactly what you’re getting on the Camon 16.
But personally I’m not surprised by this move though, neither do i feel bad about it, cause Infinix and Tecno are both owned by the same parent company “Transsion”, and this isn’t the first time that they’re pulling such stunt on their customers, neither is this one gonna be the last.

But i just hope that whatever their reason is for doing things this way, it should work for them. So back to the Camon 16 smartphone.
Like i said, the Tecno Camon 16 or Camon 16 Premier was unveiled yesterday, and it is packing some crazy spec like its close neighbor, the Zero 8 that came before it.
Here we’re looking at;
- A 90Hz refreshable display that is paired to a 6.9 Inches Full HD+ IPS LCD panel.
- The Mediatek gaming centric Helio G90T processor that it carries should keep things running smooth with no sign of stutter or lag even while playing console-like quality games such as PUBG and COD Mobile.
- You get an ass whooping 8GB of RAM size with a chunky 128GB storage combo which is still expandable via a microSD card slot.
- A quad rear facing camera setup that boasts of a 64MP main snapper, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP lens for depth sensing, and another 2MP for macro shots.
- The front facing camera is not here to play either, as it comes with a squad of 48MP main lens + 8MP ultrawide setup.
- The cameras, both front and back are capable of doing 4k video recording at 30fps, while super slow motion video recording is only reserved for the rear facing camera, and this is capped at a time freezing 720p@960fps.
- Under the hood and to keep things running, you’re getting a 4500mAh battery that supports up to 33W fast charging that is done over a USB Type-C charging port.
Now tell me, what more could one ask for, for a smartphone that should be priced around 115,000 – 118,000 NGN like its close neighbor, the Zero 8?

The Tecno Camon 16 should be hitting the stores soon, and like i mentioned earlier, the price should be around the 115,000 – 120,000 NGN bracket.
So this all for the Tecno Camon 16 guys, do give this post a thumbs up by sharing it if you enjoyed reading it, and as always, I’ll see you all tomorrow, #Peace Out.

I don’t think so Anis, Tecno has never been committed to delivering new Android updates to its smartphones.
