Tecno Camon 17 Pro price in Nigeria
The Tecno Camon 17 Pro stands tall and proud as the pack leader among Tecno’s gang of Camon 17 smartphones that were announced earlier this year, and at a current retailing price of ₦145,000 here in Nigeria, the Camon 17 Pro takes its place behind the Phantom X as the second-best Tecno mobile smartphone that you can get your hands on right now in 2021.
And for such price, here’s all that you’ll if you bought the Tecno Camon 17 Pro phone today. #enjoy.
Best deals and price comparison
- Tecno Camon 17 Pro (8GB + 256GB) @ ₦145,000, Slot NG.
- Tecno Camon 17 Pro (8GB + 256GB) @ ₦145,000, Pointek.
- Tecno Camon 17 Pro (8GB + 256GB) @ ₦145,000, Jumia.
So, to begin with, and like I’ve said before, the Camon 17 Pro is the pack leader among the three Camon smartphones that Tecno announced this year, which means it should be packing some very impressive specs that are better than what we have on the vanilla Camon 17, and the Camon 17P right?
So, does it?
Well, let’s find out.
So, to start with, you’re getting an intimidatingly large 6.8 inches sharp-resolution 1080p+ display, with the screen refresh rate ticking at up to 90Hz, with up to 500nits of maximum brightness.
Driving such a large display and everything else on the phone is a MediaTek Helio G85 mobile processor, which is the same across all three Tecno Camon 17 phones this year, but where the Pro model shines and takes the crown is with it being equipped with 8GB of RAM, and a substantial amount of internal storage capacity, tipping the scale at 256GB.

Do we still need a microSD card with such an amount of storage?
Well, even if you feel you don’t, Tecno still thought it wise to provide a removable microSD card slot on the phone, good thinking from Tecno if you asked me.
So, performance should be a breeze on the phone, if not even better. The phone should be able to handle whatever task you throw at it without breaking a sweat, and the Helio G85 chipset used here has even proven its worth on many occasions when compared with phones using Snapdragon processors like the Snapdragon 720G and 732G respectively.
And coming to cameras, you’re getting a four or quad-camera setup on the rear of the phone, while having a single 48MP shooter on the front of it, neatly tucked inside the hole-punch cutout on the display.
The quad rear cameras comprise a 64MP main shooter, this is followed closely by an 8MP ultrawide sensor, then there is the presence of two 2MP sensors where one is being used as a depth sensor, and Tecno calls the other one a black and white camera sensor, in other words, a monochrome camera sensor.
So, since the Camon lineup is a group of phones that Tecno uses to show off its camera and photography prowess, I’m trusting that the Camon 17 Pro should be able to deliver one of the best, or if not even the best camera picture quality that we have come to see on a Tecno smartphone before.
For software, you’re getting Android 11 out of the box with Tecno’s own latest version of its custom UI sitting on top of it, the HiOS 7.6 UI, and I’m sorry to say this, but there is no hope of the Camon 17 Pro ever getting updated to the latest android version, Android 12, when it finally launches later this year.
It’s painful, but that’s the sad world we live in, isn’t it?

Okay, so, powering all these specs that we’ve mentioned so far on the Camon 17 Pro is a 5000mAh battery tank that can be refilled whenever needed, via a 25W fast battery charging system, and the phone comes with the needed charger or power brick included in the box.
So, for a current retailing price of ₦145,000 which is still likely going to increase as the dollar rate in the country increases, this is all that you’ll get if you purchased the Tecno Camon 17 Pro today, and shown below is a table containing the phone’s full specifications and its features.
