Kung Fu Hustle
Kung Fu Hustle is one of the most popular Kung Fu movies that you can find on Netflix today. Set in Canton, China in the 1940s, the story revolves around a town ruled by the Axe Gang, Sing who desperately wants to become a member. He stumbles into a slum ruled by eccentric landlords who turn out to be the greatest kung-fu masters in disguise. Sing’s actions eventually cause the Axe Gang and the slumlords to engage in an explosive kung-fu battle. Only one side will win and only one hero will emerge as the greatest kung-fu master of all.
Kung Fu Panda
And moving away from the regular Kung Fu movies as you’ve come to know them, the Kung Fu Panda film series is one of the most popular animated Kung Fu movies.
“It’s the story about a lazy, irreverent slacker panda, named Po, who is the biggest fan of Kung Fu around…which doesn’t exactly come in handy while working every day in his family’s noodle shop. Unexpectedly chosen to fulfill an ancient prophecy, Po’s dreams become reality when he joins the world of Kung Fu and studies alongside his idols, the legendary Furious Five — Tigress, Crane, Mantis, Viper, and Monkey — under the leadership of their guru, Master Shifu. But before they know it, the vengeful and treacherous snow leopard Tai Lung is headed their way, and it’s up to Po to defend everyone from the oncoming threat. Can he turn his dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master into reality? Po puts his heart – and his girth – into the task, and the unlikely hero ultimately finds that his greatest weaknesses turn out to be his greatest strengths.”
Ip Man 4: The Finale
“Donnie Yen returns to his role as the legendary Wing Chun master in the grand finale of the Ip Man saga. Following the death of his wife, Ip Man travels to America to search for a better future for his son. Meanwhile, he must find a way to ease tensions between the local kung fu masters and his star student, Bruce Lee.”
Shaolin Soccer
Shaolin Soccer is a very popular Kung Fu movie that mixes both martial arts and soccer into one blockbuster film.
“Sing is a skilled Shaolin kung fu devotee whose amazing “leg of steel” catches the eye of a soccer coach. Together they assemble a squad of Sing’s former Shaolin brothers, inspired by the big-money prize in a national soccer competition. Using an unlikely mix of martial arts and newfound soccer skills, it seems an unbeatable combination until they face the dreaded Team Evil in the ultimate battle for the title.”
