Overview
So, having seen the current price of this phone, that brings us to the question of; Why will anyone want to buy the iPhone 4 in 2021 for ₦25,000?
I mean, with that same amount, we can get a very good working smartphone with better specs, better camera, and an overall better design, and an even better battery life, even if not an iPhone, and even if not a new phone, but we can get a very solid low-budget used Android smartphone for that same amount that the iPhone 4 is current selling for right now.
So, why go for the iPhone 4, I mean, this is a phone that was announced way back in June 2010, making it approximately 11 years old today, so, why go for an 11 years old phone with 11 years specs, when you can get 2 – 3 years old Android smartphone with better specs, and at or almost the same price?
Well, personally, I don’t know, and I can’t exactly tell why, I mean, people are still buying the 12 years old iPhone 3G and 3GS till today, so, each to their own, but personally, I can’t do such a thing, even I was one of Apple’s most loyal customers.
But, the age aside, the iPhone 4 was and still remains one of Apple’s most popular and iconic smartphones, and it does so for some good reasons.
For specs, it’s got a 3.5 inches 640 by 960p IPS LCD display, and boasting up to 330 pixel density, something that even most low-budget and entry-level Android phones can’t boast of today.
Aside that, it’s got a glass build, which makes use of Corning Gorilla glass, and even the frame was made of stainless steel, a kind of touch that you can only find in the most expensive Apple and Android flagships today.
It’s got a 512MB RAM capacity, and the storage options starts from 8GB, and goes all the way up to 32GB.
It has a single 5MP camera on the back, and a VGA camera sensor on the front that can’t be used to take selfies, but only used video calling.
The battery capacity comes in 1420mAh, and that’s basically it. So, if you’re willing to go for the iPhone 4 at it’s current selling price in 2021, those are basically everything that you stand to get.
And for a more in-depth look and to satisfy your curiosity, below are the complete specs of the smartphone in a tabular form.
