What is the Infinix Zero Ultra price in Nigeria?

The Infinix Zero Ultra is Infinix’s most expensive smartphone yet, and it’s currently priced at ₦383,000 here in Nigeria, giving the power of a massive 200MP camera sensor and a thunderous 180W superfast charging in the palm of your hands.

But aside from the cameras and insanely fast battery charging, do you think spending such an amount on an Infinix phone is really worth it?

I mean, for almost ₦400k, you can get a good iPhone, a Samsung, or even a solid Xiaomi Redmi phone, etc.

So, why spend that on an Infinix if there are better choices out there?

So, like I said, the Infinix Zero Ultra is Infinix’s most expensive flagship phone ever announced to date, and a successor to the Zero X Pro announced around the same period last year.

But before we talk about the Zero Ultra, let’s take a brief look back at the Zero X Pro.

The Infinix Zero X Pro was everything that a flagship phone could be at the time. It has a solid build quality built with premium materials like glass on the front and back, though it lacks an ingress protection rating.

The camera setup was similar to what you’d find on more expensive flagships from the likes of Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi, etc, and we’re talking of a 108MP main camera, an 8MP periscope telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom, and a third 8MP ultrawide sensor.

But circling back to the Infinix Zero Ultra, first is, not only does it lack a proper telephoto sensor, but that has been replaced by a practically useless 2MP macro sensor.

A 2MP macro sensor on a ₦380+k smartphone? Are these people even thinking?

And as for the build quality, well, the thing is Infinix is keeping mum about what materials the Zero Ultra is made with, whether its glass or plastic, but since the last generation phones were made of glass, we’d assume it’s the same for the new phone too, but we might be wrong, knowing fully well that Infinix is a company that’s capable of doing something very right this moment, only to completely ruin it the next moment.

Secondly, for almost ₦400k, how long do you think this phone will last before it’s phased out by the company, and moved on to something else?

Well, going by past records, the longest will be a year, again, I repeat, for a near ₦400k smartphone, you won’t be getting any software or new Android version updates as since this phone came with Android 12 out of the box, it will be stuck there even when the world has moved on to something newer and better.

Take other past Infinix phones as an example, every phone launched by the company in the past 3 years or so, has never gotten any new Android version updates, not even the flagship Zero series, and it’s a big shame if you asked me.

Personally, if you’d ask me, I might say the Infinix Zero Ultra is more of a downgrade from the Zero X series because the telephoto camera has been replaced by a mere 2MP macro sensor, and you know, the camera is one major thing that influences the buying decisions of people when it comes to smartphones.

But if all that doesn’t matter to you, and you’re hyped about the 200MP new main camera sensor and 180W Thunder Charge that can refill the 4500 mAh battery on this thing from 0 to 100% in less than 15 min, then feel free to go for it.
