Infinix S5 Pro Call Setting Tips & Tricks
How to access the new & additional setting options for calls and the phone dialer app.
So like i said earlier, the Infinix S5 Pro smartphone ships with android 10™ out of the box, coupled with Infinix new XOS 6 Dolphin UI, and because of that, it has quit of handful of new features added to it, both in terms of looks and useability.
And one of those features happens to be the new settings menu options for calls and your phone dialer app, something that looks like this.
Though nothing much has been changed or was even changed to start with, but if you look closely, you should see that a new option has been added in there, which says “Theme“, and we’re gonna talk about that in the next item on our list.
But for now, let me show you how to access the new setting options for calls and your phone dialer app on your Infinix S5 Pro smartphone.
- As usual, go to your “Phones” app, you know, that app that you always go to when you want to dial someone’s number.
- When in there, you should see a three-dot menu button at the top right hand corner of your phone’s screen. Click on it.
- A drop-down list of options should be presented to you, click on the one that says “Settings” and that’s all.
- From there, you can customise and make whatever changes that you wish to whatever options that you want to make in the dialer app.. #Cheers..
How to customize or change the phone dialer app’s theme or colors.
Do you know that aside from the generic white background that you see when you open the dialer app to dial someone’s number can be changed to something else? Something that looks like this.
And here’s how.
- Follow the same steps from the first tutorial above to access the settings options.
- Now when in there, locate the option that says “Theme“, and click on it.
- You will be given six different color options that you can choose from, select whichever one that suits you best, and click on the “✔” button at the top right hand corner of your phone’s display, and that’s it.
- You can now go back to your dialer app to see the changes.. #Cheers..
How to setup or enable “Automatic call recording” feature.
You know on most cases, there are quit a handful of features on smartphones which we usually take for granted on daily basis, but we may never know when they might just come in handy for us, at a moment when we least expected them to, and one of those features happens to be the “Automatic call recording” feature.
I bet you should already know what it does from the name right? So there’s no need of explaining any further, but I’m just gonna show you how to set it up or enable it on your Infinix S5 Pro smartphone.
- From your dialer app, click on that same three-dot menu button that we’ve been clicking from steps 1 & 2 above.
- But this time, don’t click on the option that says “Settings”, but instead, click on the one that says “Enable auto call recording” and that is it.
- As from this moment onwards, every call made on your phone, whether incoming or outgoing calls, will be automatically recorded and saved as music files, which you can play later and listen to, or simply delete them if you think they aren’t important or they’re eating too much out of your phone’s storage.. #Cheers..
How to enable “Flash for incoming calls” feature.
Now this is one feature that a lot of us download third-party apps for, but here it is wasting away on our smartphones. And what does it do?
Simple..
It simply flashes your rear camera’s flashlight whenever you have an incoming call on your phone, handy for when you put your phone on “Silent or Vibrate-only mode”.
So how do we get it activated on our Infinix S5 Pro smartphone? Simple..
- Follow the steps from the first two tutorials above to access the setting menu options for calls and your dialer app.
- When in there, locate the option that says “Flash for calls“.
- Tap on it, and a new page will be opened with a toggle button on it.
- Tap on it to activate it, and that is all. When next you have an incoming call on your Infinix S5 Pro smartphone, the rear camera’s flashlight should notify you of that. #Cheers..
How to set different screen animations for Incoming calls.
Have you ever wondered if you could change the incoming call display screen on your smartphone? Something that looks like this..
Maybe it wasn’t possible to achieve before, but right now, i can beat my chest to tell you that the Infinix S5 Pro gives you an option to choose from different screen animations, to make use of for incoming calls on your phone.
And here’s how to achieve that..
- Follow the same steps we’ve been following for a while now to access the settings menu for calls and dialer app.
- Locate the option that says “My video show” and tap on it to open it.
- A new page will be opened to you, giving you three (for now) different animation backgrounds that you can choose from for your incoming call backgrounds.
- The most popular one happens to be “Beach” one, you can select that one to start with, and then maybe later make another choice if you wish.
- So the next time you get an incoming call on your phone, you should see the animated background in play, instead of the generic call background that we are all used to.

How to turn/off dark mode on the Infinix S5 Pro smartphone.
Dark mode happens to be one of the new features that launched with the Infinix S5 Pro smartphone, simply because it launched with the said android 10™ out of the box, and i guess there’s nobody here who doesn’t know what dark mode does or stand for.
Yes dark mode is good, it looks nice on our smartphones and all that, especially on smartphones flexing an OLED display, cause it helps to save battery as well.
But don’t be deceived, dark mode on the Infinix S5 Pro won’t help you save sh*t in terms of battery, simply because the S5 Pro makes use of an LCD display panel as compared to an OLED.
And if you care to know more about the advantages and disadvantages that OLED displays have over LCD and vice versa, you can follow this link.
So back to the reason why we’re here, how can we setup or activate dark mode on our Infinix S5 Pro smartphone?
Simple..

And one of the ways that you can customise an android phone is by changing its theme. Though this is not a new practice and shouldn’t sound strange to anyone at a time like this, but the thing is, for those who don’t know, Infinix actually has its own library of themes, wallpapers, fonts and backgrounds that you can choose from, and they called this the “XTheme“.
So how do we change our phone’s theme from Infinix XTheme? Simple..

- If you’re opening or using it for the first time, you might be asked to create an account.
- After you’ve done that, you should see some options at the bottom of your phone’s screen, select the one that says “Theme“

- Go back to your phone’s app drawer and select the XTheme app. Tap on it to open it.
- Now instead of selecting the option that says “Theme”, go to the one that says “Wallpaper” instead.
- And in just the same way you did for the theme options, you can browse all of the wallpapers there either by categories or rankings.

Now just as it is with other smartphone OEMs out there, Infinix has jampacked its XOS launcher with quite a handful of navigational gestures, to make things a lot easier for people, especially for those with small hands.
Gestures such as “swipe down” from the home screen to pull down your notifications tray, instead of struggling to get your hands all the way to the top of your phone’s screen, especially on devices wielding up to 6.5 Inches display and above.
Other ones include, “swipe up” to reveal your app drawer, “pinch in” with two fingers to reveal your “app hide” folder, etc. And mind you, aside from the preset options or actions that comes with these gestures, you can set them to perform a different task entirely.
