What is a NULL file?
A NULL file is an empty or corrupted file in an operating system, they’re easily identifiable by the .null extension they end with, and cannot be read or opened by any program or application on your phone or computer.
How do NULL files get into a computer?
There are two common ways that NULL files can find their way into your computer or smartphone, and the first one is;
NULL files can be generated by applications or programs during runtime especially when such programs encounter an issue while running, and they’re usually stored away in the log or junk files folder of the application they were generated from while waiting to be permanently deleted by the user.
But aside from that, another way that a NULL file or files can find their way into a computer or phone is through a malware attack commonly known as the NULL virus, and when this happens, it encrypts the files on the computer and adds the .null extension at the end of their names.
The targeted files are typically documents, images, and video files such as .doc & .docx files, .jpg & .jpeg files, .mp3 & .mp4 files, etc.
So, for example, when a phone or computer is hit by a NULL virus attack, an audio.mp3 file becomes audio.mp3.null, which automatically renders such file null, void, empty, and corrupt, making it unreadable by any program or application on your computer or smartphone.
But if you follow the steps which will be given in this post shortly, you should be able to open any NULL file or files, both on your smartphone, and on your computer.

How to open NULL file on your computer
Now unlike on a smartphone, there’s no easy way to open a NULL file on a computer, in fact, there’s no way to do that at all.
But if your computer was recently hit by a NULL virus, there is software available to remove this virus and clean your computer, but there’s no way to effectively restore any file or files that were affected by the NULL virus, except if you have a separate backup of those files in external storage before the virus hit.
So, the name of this software is called the “Malwarebytes Premium“, it’s antivirus software that helps to clean your computer from the most commonly known type of computer viruses and malware, and it’s sold for a price of $39.99
So, these are basically all you need to know about NULL files on your smartphones or computer, and how to open NULL files on your device.
