Starpery Technology announced that their China-made AI sexbots will debut in August.
“We are developing a next-generation sex doll that can interact vocally and physically with users, with prototypes expected by August this year,” said Starpery Technology CEO, Evan Lee.
The Shenzhen-based company, however, is grappling with a few difficulties.
To enable their controversial bed companions interact with customers like real people, they need to make lots of improvement on the current technology available.
Apart from efforts to optimise the software of their machines, Starpery Technology is also tinkering with the physical components.
The outer parts of the bots are usually formed from silicon to make it feel like the human body. The skeleton is usually metal.

Some of the challenges confronting them are:
- the sexbots’ weights need to be reduced.
- better batteries and artificial muscles need to be made.
- materials used in the manufacturing process need optimization to achieve cheap sexbots.
Starpery Technology is trying to equip their new model of China-made sexbots with the ability to stimulate emotional connection. Furthermore, they want these robots to react like real people.
“The new generation of sex dolls, powered by AI models and equipped with sensors, can react with both movements and speech, significantly enhancing user experience by focusing on emotional connection rather than just basic conversational abilities,” said Evans.
Even those who dislike sexbots might gain from Starpery Technology’s other plans. The company has plans, according to their CEO, to make bots that can do house chores, support those with disabilities, and help the old people.
Currently, the smart-robot industry have a long way to go before they can make realistic, less-frequently recharged, smart robots.
Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, is also working toward making humanoid robots. But it is possible that his company’s would be costlier than those made in China. This is due to the possible difference in costs of production.
As the world waits for these China-made AI sexbots that will debut in August, they are also expectant of Tesla’s less-controversial models.
